An extremely important part of any exercise and physical fitness program is nutrition. Proper nutrition is one of the largest foundations of good health. Without a proper diet, the long term effects of a given exercise program are limited. Several small well balanced meals are favored over a couple of larger meals during the day. It is recommended that individuals drink at least 8 servings of water a day.
Rest is equally important while maintaining a demanding physical fitness program. Try to routinely get no less than six hours of sleep and no more than eight hours of sleep. Routinely rest muscle groups after a demanding physical fitness session. For example, if you work out Biceps/Chest are on Monday, you want to focus on another specific area of the body the next day, like Legs.
